The notable exception was Lisnagar Oscar who seemed comfortable at that pace and he still found plenty up the run in. Impressive in my book.
And I wouldn't be in any hurry to back Paisley Park against LO in a true run Stayers next year.
I know PP was found to have an irregular heart beat after the race but I can't help thinking he couldn't live with that pace - and produce the same turn of foot which has been his hallmark.
I'm amazed Lisnagar Oscar is 16-1 and PP is only 7-1.
Have to admit Fury Road also comes into the reckoning but 27-1 (with WH boost) is not quite tempting enough.

No worries! After reading the write up about the bartlett, That confirms my eagerness to play the improving young horse thyme hill as my main fancy for this, i know fury road was ahead but thyme hill really finished strong and switched a couple of times still was up there, 14/1 each way for me as my main fancy ive already had PP in a few multis

But rightly or wrongly I took the view he was sort of bullied out of it in the AB and had he been good enough he'd have found a way to win.
I couldn't back PP at single figures.
But Fury Road has surely got to be the value at 25s when you compare his chance to Thyme Hill.
I've already loaded up on Lisnagar Oscar and had an each way dabble on Thomas Derby (66-1) and Janidil (75-1) so I'm loath to take another one on board.

With 2 of the first 4 home in the Albert all but confirmed for the Stayers I wouldn't be at all surprised if Mullins decided to send Monkfish down that route as well. He did mention the Stayers straight after winning the Albert albeit slightly tongue in cheek. However, with Thyme Hill and now Fury Road throwing their hat's into the ring maybe Willie will be tempted to do the same as he doesn't appear to have anything else of note for the race but has a few for the RSA.
