Seems a very strange decision given connections etc.

Possibly hasn’t schooled very well over fences?

      • Well if I like Thyme Hill then I have to get Fury Road onside 25/1 Paddy P.

        • I didn’t expect that with Fury Road. Gordon Elliot mentioned a number of times about his size and scope being that of a chaser in the making. I think 25/1 with Paddy Power for the Stayers is the better option as you get cash out option just incase they change their minds.

          • Managed to cash all my multiples but lost my single for the RSA.

            • This is not good news! For me!

              • I had Fury Road as Elliott’s RSA horse.

Different ownership but I wonder if this removes another hurdle (or hurdler) from Envoi Allen and the RSA.

If I was to put down a speculative trixie from this news it would be Chantry (Marsh), Envoi (RSA) and Fury (Stayers)

                • Lost him in a Yankee for the RSA the rest were either any race or cashed out. Have added him for this now though only 25-1 with Hills now.

                  • Very odd decision! Very unlike Giggingstown. Very unlike Gordon. Neither have a good record in the race. Even weirder is that he looked tailor made for the NHC (IMHO).

I have 2 points TWAR only because there was such little disparity between his price for that and the NHC.

I am a lot less confident now staying over hurdles.

That said, Paisley Park still needs to prove he is over his disappointing run in the race last year and if he isn't it blows the division wide open.

I wont be topping up atm at 25s or 33s but I wont be throwing my TWAR slip away just yet either.

                    • The advantages of TWAR highlighted again re Fury Road !

I still believe that the only way Envoi goes down the RSA route is if it was 100% Gordon’s thought at the beginning of the season. Just because of Fury Roads staying hurdling I wouldn’t expect a change of plans which I think the vast majority of us guys and racing people believe Envoi to go to the Marsh

That's an interesting theory. Wouldn't be upset if it panned out that way either.

Not sure connections or any racing people have stated Marsh or RSA for Envoi ? Think it's just everyone jumping on Marsh theory and pumping the Marsh price that makes it look like he's going the shorter race.

Both the owner and Codd both alluded to the RSA in the Paul Ferguson publication.

Blimey. Weird how easy he is to back in RSA based on that. Perhaps most of us are going down the wrong route.
