To be fair you seem to do nothing but post on here (like me) so I'm sure you could find the time..... every 1 post you make, add 1 line to your diary.... you;d be done by next week?

Lack of respect for your legion of fans in my opinion....cult hero Lobos, won't post his bets

I am joking of course. I cannot wait to be a few years down the line and meet you for a beer and an arguement (debate?!) over some horses!
I reckon we'd do an all nighter ! If only we could do a degree in horse racing eh.........I'd study until I dropped and still come back for more.

I actually think that's a hugely over played angle. Apart from Big Bucks.... who reverted from fences to win a Stayers Hurdle? (I haven't fact checked, but I think it's a long time ago?!)
Fair point Kev, I guess my boy Thistlecrack will have to defy all odds including Father Time this year!

To be fair, Thistlecrack won the Stayers before that King George.... so the 'reverting' for him was a bit of an anomoly?

He was a superstar as well (like Big Bucks).

My point is, you have to be fucking fantastic to revert to hurdles after going chasing, and although you haven't named one, I just don't know who it could possibly be that was good enough.

I'd be really surprised if any novice chaser won the Stayers... ever!

Yeah can't disagree there, you have me!

Doesn't qualify per the criteria but speaking of Tizzards, Copperhead will be an interesting watch vs LO.

Copperhead just there to blow off cobwebs before the Ladbrokes surely after missing his Chepstow engagement. He will need it judged on last years reappearance & yards other runners at present.

If he won well I Wouldn't put it past them to go down the Stayers route with him . Didn't even realize he was running!

Yeah can't see him not going to the Hennessy, think he'll give a good account of himself though. I was only rewatching the Gold Cup and it dawning on me again just how good a horse Lostintranslation is if he did that when Tizzards yard was in such bad form.

He improved 30lbs for a fence, even if he did somehow miraculously win on Saturday that would just excite them even more for his chasing aims given they think he has more to offer this season. It sounds like they hope he will be worthy of lining up in a Gc i personally don't think he will reach the level to be competitive in G1 so would be intrigued to where he would end up later in the season but still couldn't envisage a stayers tilt.

On a side note Lobos, do you use the exchange much? Your contrarian way of thinking could reward you with obscene prices potentially.

                  • Having just seen her beaten, judging on her flat form and the fact that I quite like classy 2 milers stepping up in trip, could verdana blue be one for this?

Bit of a long shot and I can't see her priced up anywhere but 2nd at ascot over 2m4 and a staying on 3rd in the ebor would suggest stayer rather than speedster surely?

Classy 2 milers (solwhit, celestial halo, Nicholas canyon etc) have done well when stepped up to this trip in the past. Ground will always be an issue for her though, which may prove her undoing again regardless of trip. I'd be interested to hear other's thoughts and what price she'd be put in at

She looks as close to a non staying type that I've ever seen.
                      So I'd say No.
It would have to be ran at a real crawl for her to stand a chance.

                      • I don't think I'd back her at 100/1 for it.

Although I'm still not happy with her haha

I agree she looks like she wants a step up in trip. Personally think she should go the Mares Hurdle route think the intermediate trip would be best for her.

He showed similar form to before.

His Stayers Hurdle win is the anomoly!

It means he can't be ruled out, as he's literally been there and done it.... but it was disappointing, no doubt.

As a Sire Du Berlais backer, you should be pleased today. I'm certainly displeased today... The Storyteller "kind of" backed up the form.....

Would you actually fancy her for a Mares Hurdle?!

What has she ever done to make anyone fancy her for anything!

(Apart from me fancying and backing her today!) - she is a shit house.
