Given there's been 6 winners at 25/1+ of the race in the last 11 runnings I can't imagine it's been a good ante post race for anyone

Did Nara's run not tell you anything ?
Granted, there will be a dozen with a similar profile but that ride told me he will go with every chance...

She was never going to win yesterday. Carrying 7 pounds more than the winner despite being beat by him 3 lengths receiving 7 pounds last time and essentially wrong at the weights with all of the rest of the horses. I'm sure they would have told Mark not to get within 10 lengths of the winner. No idea what they'll rate her though. She could be at risk of getting a low enough rating not to get in.

Not much harm done at the prices NRNB and in those silks, but Henry has never so much as had a runner in the Boodles/Fred Winter.

            • 20/1 is fair I think.
That said the form of her Auteuil win doesn’t read well so maybe it was a weak listed heat.
Certainly ridden yesterday to get beat though….

              • I agree that 20s NRNB is fair and also backed it. More because I think it'd considerably beat SP than actually anything to do with Nara's chances. My first bet in the race. And probably my last until much nearer the time.

Henry not targeting the race is a slight concern. But with JP they're basically all forced to target handicaps aren't they And Nara was mentioned as a Triumph contender before the season started. The reputation was certainly there.

Def looked like they left some to work one…,travelled nicely til near end

Never underestimate Henry …,,for fairly small stable relatively, he gets lot of festival winners…,,or has done in recent years

Yeah and him being so nice often means when he wins a handicap he does it with something with plenty in hand.

For me, miles ahead of GE as trainer ….no idea why more horses aren’t sent his way

Think he is quietly ambitious….and ramping up in his own way. Don’t think he had stable jockey til got Rachael? And now has Darragh too who is pretty decent

Think he trains more for G1s like Willie & takes Hcap opps as they come up ….rather than big plotter….but he prob plots more than I realise ….that nice way of hiding it

Watched it again and you be right with Nara

However,Surely can’t get into the Boodles now and has no chance in the Mares Novice Hurdle

Not a novice so can't run in the Mares Novice. I think she will be low 120s so right on the edge of getting in.

Didn’t cop that DS,she appears in the Racing Post Possible Entries

Presumed from that she was a Novice

                            • Dan Skelton...

Langer Dan is another one high up in the betting but I haven’t been happy at all with him over winter. The vet had a look at him and he’s actually had ulcers so we have treated him for that and he will head for the Coral Cup again. It proves that he is hard to train in the winter and hopefully he comes alive a bit later in the year. It is nice that we have a reason now to hang some moderate runs on.

                              • Mill Green qualified for the pertemps final for the 3rd consecutive season yesterday at Exeter.
An encouraging run, showing the flame still burns bright at the ripe old age of 12.
After 2 consecutive 3rd place finishes it's a race he undoubtedly thrives in.
Unfortunately he's priced with this in mind, only 25/1 nrmb, his sp's for the previous 2 seasons have been 33/1 and 22/1 and with extra places likely available he's one for on the day.
