Favori surely more a NHC type as well. Only race he'd have a chance in also.
I was all over Favori for the Potato race last year, I don't know why he underperformed so badly but if it's course/travel related then a repeat is possible so has to be a flag.
It could be he might act better on the Old Course but I can't see how given his scope and galloping style.
I'll hold off until the previews kick off, someone might mention what the issue was if indeed there was one...

I think it's great nicholls is running him outside of novice company and give him a big shout, think the extra distance from the banc will really suit him.

As a backer for the BANC I'd rather he stick to the Novice races as a prep..Not that I'm worried he'll go Gold Cup as he won't but I'm worried what it could do for his confidence if the step into open company is too much for him. Could mess with his head.
That's my worry. I don't want connections leaning towards the Gold Cup. Not for me but they might be people who view getting placed in the Gold Cup is a better achievement than winning the BANC.
