Yeah, you're spot on. They've got a 4-yo filly by Camelot who is apparently more in the mould of the mother.

    • The Carpenter runs in a hot looking Novice's Hurdle at Cheltenham today @ 3:15

A good opportunity for them to give him experience at the track on the way to being a Graded performer over fences next season....
      Here's hoping!
(Judging by the way he performed on Soft ground last time, the ground may be a bit quick for him today, but I'm excited to see what he can do...)

Don't think it means anything really, the one you want to look out for is the race at cheltenham in october

If he won he wouldn't be a Novice next March

              • It’s going to be a Festival of Willie this week but one I was waiting on his next run was Merlin Giant who I was hoping would be entered in the County and Cheltenham. Just checked and his price is 5/1 which is a bit skinny considering the competitiveness. Probably leave that alone and watch Willie have a field day.

                  • Interesting to see that Three Card Brag and Sandor Clegane are declared over 2m4f in the Red Mills final as opposed to the 3m novice hurdle later on.

Also Ballyburn kept back for an easier engagement and Tullyhill is taking on A Dream to Share. Would think Patrick picks him over It's For Me.

BMG declared for the Gold Cup so assume he's able to run?!

Tullyhill certainly an interesting runner (had a couple of entries) and I think you’re right that Patrick will take a chance on him as It’s For Me and Western Diego have been beaten already by A Dream To Share.

I’ve actually been really warming to Tullyhill for the AB next year but Hills don’t have a market up which is bloody annoying. He wasn’t a pointer I’d originally considered but his bumper win was very impressive. I’m not sure he’s got the speed to beat A Dream To Share unless it became testing.

Aye, Bryan Drew now sole owner so can run.

Gaelic Warrior in the 3 miler also an interesting declaration. Could he be a stayers horse next year? Looks a weak division as usual.

Interesting as I'd been leaning more towards the Ballymore. I was taken by his cruising speed in his maiden victory. I could be wrong, but I had thought Ballyburn looked the more likely of the two to want 3 miles.

I’d personally have them both for the AB. Tullyhill won on soft/heavy over 2m2f and didn’t need to shift out of second gear. He looked comfortable maintaining that pace in those conditions but whether he has a finishing kick or not, we’ll have to wait see.

Willie said he’ll be better over a fence and over a trip so I suspect he’ll be a staying novice chaser next year
