Also The Gunner takes his chance in the Grade 2 over two and a half miles. On jockey bookings he looks like the third string though. I was hoping he’d turn up at Punchestown over 3m, where he has an entry, but they come here instead. Got Glory goes straight into the Grade 1 mares novice over two and a half for her first start for the yard and over hurdles. I’m guessing it’s a fact finding mission as it’s a very deep race and jockey bookings suggest shes far from first string.
Got Glory the outsider at 66/1. No danger of her losing her novice status tomorrow

      • Seems to be a lot of NRs today. A bit odd given the ground is yielding?

        • Must be some confidence behind Firefox given that Ile Atlantiques price has stated the d and despite Ballyburn being a NR

          • Think I'd rather back Fascile Mode than either of them today. Jockey actually gets to claim his 7lb today as well.

Although it's not my usual style so I'll probably regret even looking at the race.

Hopefully they run him in the 3 mile hurdle at punchestown, very very good comeback run

17 day turn around probably makes it unlikely

Another weak finish from Ile Atlantique darlojim. Really don’t know what to make of him. He’s a big unit so could just be a bit weak at the moment and needs to strengthen up.

Hmmmm not sure what to make of that really. They've both pulled some way clear of the 3rd and hes gaining again in the last 50yds. Don't think there's anything special between the 2 of them though maybe :/

Might be a different story when a proper jock gets on board next season with a flight infront of him, just have to see. But I've never liked seeing a horse being infront like that just being stalked, just feels like you're setup to lose (which obviously isn't factually correct, but it gives the stalker something to aim at which I think is always a big advantage)

                      • So Jonbon’s going over 2m to bully a load of cappers (and Notlongtilmay) rather than stepping up to 2.4 as Nicky said he would.

Not that he's usually reluctant to run his against each other but, JP could've had a say in splitting his two between the two races?

20/1 with PP for Mares Novices if anyone wants to cover

Aye was thinking of playing sone related roll up doubles for Aintree with her and Zenta with a view to 2024.

*Ruby had a good word for both with a view to the future on latest paddy pod, seeyouinmydreams is rightly fav and has the form to win, I will look to cover her for the mares novice with some roll ups at Aintree but suspect a good showing from JCA too

Zenta (Aintree) & JCA (mares novice) 64/1

JCA (place 4) & Zenta (mares hurdle) 51/1
