There were several other potential candidates I ruled out because they seem to have embarked on a chasing career. But sure, there's nothing to stop Gordon switching DDP back to hurdles.
I woke up this morning thinking I was also being very blinkered when talking up Fakiera last night.
Because he could also be a very good fit for the Martin Pipe. A stiff two-and-a-half miles round Cheltenham could suit him even better than the Pertemps.
But certainly one to keep an eye on.
I imagine we'll know a lot more once the entries appear for the Pertemps qualifier at Leopardstown next month.
