Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Happy enough with that, maybe a poor run in a graded race then qualify for this, fingers crossed.

That or the coral cup the main other possibility imo.

I'd certainly be encouraged about The Bosses Oscar getting further based on that. After he swiped that horses face off he was running on strongly still. Did Gordy come out and say he was 76.9% fit?

I don't think the Coral Cup is his race personally. Whilst he'll be of obvious interest given that he's with Gordon, I will be keen on him going up to 3m, not so keen at the intermediate trip again.

Wasn't stopping at all. Pertempts distance will be spot on. He'll take in an early qualifier and then be put away for the race. After his win today he's done enough to get in and he goes very well fresh so all good. Great shout.

Aye definitely get 3m no problem.

As Lobos has said hopefully a qualifier and then onto March.

I just wonder whether he's going to be good enough - have my doubts.

Hills got this all priced up now.

TBO and Column of Fire both 20/1

Honest Vic is catching my eye at 50/1 but will see if he stays tomorrow. Was 5th last year in the Coral Cup

The Bosses Oscar was 25/1 before he ran just FYI.

The Bosses Oscar? To win a handicap for Gordon Elliott?

Are you saying you don't think he's ever going to be a graded horse, or you genuinely don't think he can win a handicap? Or a festival handicap more specifically?

The latter is perfectly feasible, I'm just asking

I like the look of Flinck, for the race, for Phillip Hobbs, who I usually find has a good go at the Pertemps.

I haven't got the time right now to run through his history in the race, but from memory, Fingal Bay won it, and If In Doubt was a very unlucky 2nd or 3rd one year too.

Just backed Dallas des Pictons for this in my diary.
any race though, but reckon they may come here.

Anyone hazard a guess at The Bosses Oscar new rating after yesterday's race ? I'm thinking it'll be enough to get him in provided he qualifies. Am I wrong to think that??

                            He was ok rated anyway.

                              Sorry for the ambiguity.

I'm purely concerned with his chances at the Festival.

I just wonder if he'll be good enough to win the Pertemps. I certainly don't think he's got enough speed to win the Coral Cup.

And I don't think he's quite got the class for the Pertemps. I'd say place prospects at best.

Hope I'm wrong because I've got him in a 125-1 win double TWAR with Monkfish to win the RSA.

But I fear he could be a bit of a plodder.

Do plodders not tend to run well in the race NC?

With the obvious exception of Delta and Presenting Percy most of the winners are plodders rather than flashy horses IMHO.
