Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

    • There was no mention of Floueur from Elliot in his stable tour, who I thought had a good chance in this. His he not going Cheltenham or is not just worth mentioning?

There will be quite a few horses Elliott doesn't mention who will run at Cheltenham.

For 2021, all his winners were mentioned in the February stable tour. Of the places horses, Petit Mouchoir, Floueur and Shattered Love placed who were not mentioned from the stable tour I have a link for.

In 2020, Black Tears placed in the Coral Cup and not mentioned on the Racing TV stable tour, Saint D'Oroux placed in the Boodles, Queens Brook placed in the Bumper and Milan Native WON the Kim Muir without being mentioned. Rest of his winners and placed all mentioned in his tour.

Would be the job of the interviewer to highlight specific horses rather than the trainer wouldn’t it?

Thats a very interesting post regardless!

I suppose so. Gordon probably unlikely to give up too much information without being asked. Hendo would be the opposite I guess.

He has so many chances in the handicaps that it would be hard to get them all covered but just interesting that his winners do tend to get covered in the stable tours. Milan Native won but from memory, did he get switched late?

Pretty sure Gordon said Milan Native was his best handicapped horse of the week at some point in the lead up to the Festival.

He’s not averse to saying when he likes one’s chances but they can’t cover every runner in the stable tours so undoubtedly some of the h’cappers don’t get mentioned.

Gotcha. No, sadly he doesn't appear in the Racing Post entries page for the Kim Muir. I have a feeling they've given up on that idea now but...............that he'll be entered for the Foxhunter instead. He's ran in 4 Hunter chases this season and I believe, but am not 100% sure, that he's qualified based on the new rules. We'll have to wait and see. I'll definitely back him if he does and he'll be a 100/1 shot for sure.

                            • A bit left field but... If 'rightplaceattherighttime' can win his carlisle race by a fair few lengths, he could get in here off bottom weight, before going to the midlands grand national

You think he will run in the Kim Muir on the Thursday and a Midland National on the Saturday?!
