Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

He never seems to run badly. 4th on debut before coming 3rd in the Cork Grand National. Really good 3rd in the Troytown before a bizarre run at Cheltenham which smacked of a course experience ride. Given way much to do but went about his business professionally, handling the course fine. He was then 3rd in the Thyestes. He's raced 5 times this season, encountered nearly 70 runners and never finished outside the top 4. His experience in big fields is second to none and he's a beacon of consistency, racing 30+ times and never having fallen. I really like him here and think he'll be tipped quite a bit on the preview circuit so am getting in now
Just watched the December race back in full and DM clearly under strict instructions to give Mister Fogpatches course experience and nothing more. Form of that race looks pretty good too. Court Master beaten 22L has won since at Newcastle with Santini 26L back in 3rd finishing a close 2nd in the Cotswold Chase. Looking through previous winners of the KM, lots disappoint on trials day and then win this with Sunnyhillboy, Spring Heeled and The Package doing exactly that. I don't think MF was remotely disappointing, he just wasn't being ridden to win his race. The winner of that race, Commodore, could also be interesting and a little bit forgotten. Put in an excellent round of jumping from the front.

      • Anyone know if someone’s been booked for ‘aint that a shame’. Plenty of money for it

Thats actually really tempting for a horse who's form figures over the last 12 months read 43143323.

            • Aye, I quite like that for a few multiples. Be surprised if there wasn't one or two better plotted for the win but he's very consistent and has a lot of positives.

              • I’m interested in the Henderson pair Mister Coffey & Janika. I was surprised to them scratched from the Ultima and Plate so Henderson must have 2 decent amateurs lined up. Nicky has a poor record in this race but putting these two horses in it speaks highly of their chances when they would have been well handicapped in the Ultima and Plate.

Mister Coffey finished a good 2nd behind L’Homme Press recently after slamming into a fence before running on to close which leads me to believe he will get the trip. He’s a novice chaser from a top yard.

Janika is a very talented chaser with loads of experience but has been badly handicapped for a long time after achieving a lot in his younger years. I think he could cruise around and win this at big odds.

Ooohhhh, I’m assuming Ben Bromley is the son of bloodstock agent for Janika’s owners Anthony Bromley?? I know he’s started his amateur career well but will he be able to cope at the Cheltenham Festival??? I was hoping an established amateur would be on board. I may have to make a cat like retreat from this selection without losing too much credibility (I’m holding on to my hat as the custard pies start to land!!!)

He probably needs 4-5lbs to pretty much guarantee a run based on previous runnings of the race, so yeah, a win wouldn't be a bad thing

                          • PP/Betfair have cut Rightplacerightime to 5/1 for this race, before he runs today. Big cut, that.

They must be expecting him to win today then and then target this, Emmet himself has jumped on early ha

                                …Sky still offer 11-1 ‘win today & a/r’; 14-1 ‘win today & KM’.
