Saldier should be fav for this race. Unibet have him at 5/1 which is way too big, if there's any of those still before the off, I'm going to have to back him

You don't turn around your good ones this quickly do you, surpised if Aba is still in there come final decs
I think it was Gordon that turned Apples Jade out quickly after disappointing in the Fighting Fifth. From memory it was a week later and she bolted up, so he does have previous.

    • Surprise to me if Aba runs in Morgiana 3 weeks after WKD hurdle

      • Definitely is a mad price on Saldier for the Morgiana.
You'd think the horse was missing a leg to one be third favourite here and secondly to be such a big price.

Yep. Worth remembering Abracadabras was also due to run in a couple of races in quick succession last season 10th and 24th November but was pulled due to the soft ground (in the race Fury Road won). He came out then a week after, 21 days between races. This would be 16 days between. He raced plenty last Winter compared to most. Not completely out of character for the horse, albeit the standard of racing is getting hotter.

I did have my doubts he'd show for this but they may be keen to see where he stacks up sooner rater than later given his last run probably gave them more questions than answers.

          • Despite only 6 still standing their ground, BF/PP still paying 3 places on the morgiana

              Makes me suspicious

Its like they are trying to suck people into backing saldier e/w

As though they know he won't run

Thats the cynic in me anyway

its almost certainly just an error and if you actually placed the bet it would get changed to 2 places eventually

              • I won't be surprised at all if Aba turns up. He looked desperately in need of the run and clearly blew up. I wouldn't be t all surprised if he ran at Down Royal specifically with this race in mind.

                • Can't help thinking an unconsidered horse is going to explode onto the scene before long and shake up the Champion Hurdle market.

Once again, it's certainly not looking like the strongest division - apart from Epatante who deserves plenty of respect.

Hoping that left-field emerging star will be Marie's Rock who is still available at 50-1.

Realise the Mares Hurdle is the more likely target but that could be almost as tough as going for the CH.

Remember Saxon Warrior's post a few months ago showing how various Festival ante-post markets in the Autumn bore no relation to the final outcome in March.

Reckon this is one race where that could happen.

So if it happens, who will it be?

                      • Bit concerning for Saldier backers seeing PP / BF push out Saldier to 5/1 for the Morgiana (with Saint Roi shortening)... hopeful he is still an intended runner but can’t be a good sign

Should be odds on, for sure.

Maybe Saint Roi is working all over him

Not a good sign at all though as I backed him at 9/2 with 3 places - trying to get my account closed
