  • Solo to stick to hurdling this season and runs in the Elite. Nicholls says..... He's been gelded, has definitely improved, has schooled great and they are very excited about him. He also says we can put a line through his Triumph run.

He'd be a big danger to Sceau Royal if he got back to his Adonis form.

Hopefully he'll be well beat, so they can get his handicap mark down, then I'll just wait for his Betfair Hurdle entry, a la Pic

Could he be his Champion Hurdle horse ?? He has nothing else from what I can see. Currently available at 66/1.

He hasn't had a runner in the Champion Hurdle for at least the past 4 seasons, no reason to think he suddenly has one in Solo. Very similar to Pic D'Orhy, and he didn't end up there either.

I think Solo should be 66/1 to make the Champion Hurdle line-up.

Yeah, said that already a couple of times.

I'll re-assess her when I know the likely Hattons Grace field.

At this stage though, I'm looking forward to whatever wins the Morgiana being the best Irish 2 miler.

              Well see.

              • Another mark on that triumph form

Sceau Royal a different horse this year after that wind op. Could he feature at the fez if ground is decent... or picking up decent price money whilst he can

                • Note: I actually like him for the QM if ground is good (EW). I'd stick him away unless he gets his ground

Tbf I think weak opposition and ground are flattering him, for all him being very good.

                      True, wont argue with that

Scooby never shuts up about Sceau Royal. The problem is exactly what you've highlighted though....the ground. Anything without 'good' and I don't think he has a shout, so not one you can do much with ante post.

                        • I saw nico had a ride or two on JP horses for henderson's yard at sandown on the weekend (including a winner) . Would you have him Fav to progress on to the bigger rides for JP and progress to a leg up on EPATATNE ?

In England JP has said the jockeys will the the stable jockeys so I assume so

Must be most likely at this stage?

There aren't really any successful retained owner/rider combinations anymore are there?

There are a lot of trainer/jockey ones, for obvious reasons....

                              • Looks like Abacadabras will be missing the Morgiana. Pushed out to 7/1. Very positive vibes from Mullins re Saldier in his stable tour. Morgiana then taking on Honeysuckle in Hattons Grace.
