I think Abacadabras will disappear up his own ass in the Churdle. Just can't fancy him at all.

I'm surprised you can't fancy him at all though? Getting that close to Shishkin might end up looking pretty good? Had a lot of good horses well beaten behind?
He also travelled like he was an absolute star.
Another year older, I'm really hopeful he's the real deal!

Saldiers profile doesnt fill me with confidence , I smashed him up all last year and confident he would win CH. Another festival miss just highlights the perils of ante post. I will back him on day if he makes it.Keeping my pledge not to back horses ant post who missed last festival until the day.
Ive backed Goshen 20/1 , not convinced after his flat runs , jury out till I see his first hurdle race.
Also have Abra at 10/1 and Saint Roi 20/1 , that will do me.
Epantante sets standard but think this seasons race has more salubrious rivals she yet to race against , value lays elsewhere for me.

To my eye he battled and battled in the Supreme, putting lengths on those behind and giving Shiskin every bit as hard of a battle as you’d like. Don’t forget the ground had also gone against him. Whilst he clearly handles softer ground I suspect he’d benefit from it being a tad drier.
Will he win Champion Hurdle? I’m not sure.
Does he have the talent to win? I believe so.
Put it this way. I’d rather have him onside than not. He’s the type who would leave me with head in hands if he was travelling all over my selection approaching the last. And that scenario is entirely possible!

However look closely at his two biggest races, ie losses to two superstar types in Shiskin and Envoi. In both races he appeared to knuckle down and take away the winners and he’s won going away from a decent looking supreme field (likes of Chantry House etc) and when losing to Envoi he beat Darver Star handily. Whilst he avoided the carnage in the Supreme he was still inconvenienced by the running, I suspect with his turn of foot a jockey would always leave it as late as he possibly could but in the Supreme at least he didn’t have that luxury.

I’ve read the recent exchanges on this race with interest and although Aba has genuine crudentials for the race he’s not been missed by the market and is around 13/2, Saldier on the other hand had equally compelling credentials before his injury and is available at 25/1 and, we can all make our own judgements on what trainers say, he is reported to be in great health and form coming into this season.
Looks fairly clear to me where the value lies.
Equally confusing is that I was backing Saldier on 15th March at 25/1 and the price has held...

I really dont like the International in terms of producing winners. Maybe a decent one has never ran in it
Would have thought BVD would have been better suited to Cheltenham, and Epatante Kempton.... not the other way!

Given it's the same track, that'd be a bonkers trend to follow blindly.
The 'fact' that winning the Christmas Hurdle at Kempton means you're more likely to win a Champion Hurdle has to be because of class, not track.
Epatante or Buveur D'air could win the International and I'd fancy them... but they've both been their and done it.
