It's nothing to do with the ground Sharjah was given a bad ride he had to use up maximum energy when the race was quickening. It was a bad ride he had nothing left for the finish. He doesn't need to be held up stone last. Jockey is shit.

He had a wind problem previously which looks to resolved the problem. I think you can make excuses for his performance in last year’s Churdle, being only a 5 year old and it being his first run after wind surgery in that some horses take another run to realise their wind is on longer a problem.
50-1 Coeur Sublime.

However, I do agree that he'll need to win comfortably to be a significant player. I hope it's good ground though and we can see where he is compared to Sceau Royal.
If I knew it was good ground and I knew SR was running I'd take that 5/1 e/w reet now.
Part of me does want Goshen to be amazing though, now that everyone has written him of, bar a couple, (and I have been personally all summer) but it'll blow up on here if he wallops that field even though they're not good enough to win CH's. He could still be a superstar, it's just that window for him to show that is getting smaller, in fact, is this last chance saloon for that to be the case?

Song For Someone is the only unexposed one in there and fits the 'could be anything' category. But for Goshen backers you still need him to beat Song for Someone, because unexposed or not, you can't see him winning a Champion Hurdle.
I'm not sure it's last chance saloon for Goshen, but he'd be a big drifter if he didn't win this. You'd probably give him a second chance over hurdles on trials day I suppose.
I agree Sceau Royal would give a nice line on good to soft. Epatante is officially an11lb better horse than that one with her allowance and probably really more than that, so given Goshen's running style he'd need to be obliterating Sceau Royal to be thought of the Champion Hurdle winner.Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.
