Did anyone else see the interview?
I wouldn’t 100% rule out Arkle ….,that was only just over 2m today & he was pulling most way

Personally think Turners perfect as new course too ….but nothing would surprise me given Facile also a poss over further & settles better

    Time for some related doubles

    • Does the owner have no say at all with the horses he owns???
If I’m the owner of those silks I would want policeman - arkle, Sharjah - turners and Gaelic - banc

You are stone mad if you think he’ll be running in an Arkle! He couldn’t win a Boodles off 129. Quietly confident the picture will be a lot clearer after Christmas! 2m4f around Limerick against American Mike & possibly the likes of Letsbeclearaboutit etc. will tell a lot more!

First two aren’t winning at Chelt I doubt

If Rich Ricci really does want a Gold cup runner in Gaelic warrior then he’ll well to remember Monkfish never came out the RSA the same horse ever again. And we know the Turners - Gold Cup route is now tried and tested

i am not saying they are but they are not without chances, if these horses were with anyone else I think they would be split into the 3 races, Willie has so many novice chasers he will undoubtedly have at least 2 in each novice chase and more likely 3 and 4 in some of them

              • Well, yesterday Gaelic warrior was such a shit jumper of a fence, he was going for the stayers hurdle. Today, he’s so fast he’s going for the nunthorpe. In fact, I’ve found out he’s a full brother to Angela ripon. I’ve backed him for strictly 2024
meanwhile some crazy people think he’ll win the BANC

Totally agree. Showed an immense amount of pace and power. He'll definitely go Turners and finish 2nd to something.

Galopin des Champs the one you're using to prove the tried and trusted route, whereas horses that were the same, or much better after an RSA include: Arkle Ten up, Tied Cottage/Master Smudge, Garrison Savanna, Looks Like Trouble, Denman, Bobs Worth and Lord Windemere. Monkfish sustained an injury, which he could pick up in any race,in a field or in his box. The RSA/BANC is the traditional route to the Gold Cup, which Willie used for Al Boum Photo. I don't think what Rich Ricci remembers has any bearing on what race Willie will decide to send GW to.

Douvan was never the same after the champion chase, doesn't mean he'll never want a runner in that. Horses pick up niggles sometimes no matter w

Monkfish was a physical freak, a huge horse, they are very hard to keep sound, much like Topofthegame but he was more slender. Gaelic Warrior is a robust less leggy well proportioned animal. He should be more straight forward to keep sound on paper.

I completely understand his keenness today leading people to that conclusion but I’m quietly confident we’ll see that subside now the freshness is ran out of him. He was like a teenager running into his first disco today mad for the shift!

'Although Mister Policeman won at Fairyhouse on Friday, he wasn’t impressive. I’m hoping he can improve but at the moment his homework seems to be better than his trackwork as his two wins for us have been rather workmanlike.

It doesn’t reflect the sort of ability he shows at home and maybe we need to go out in trip but then we also must take into account that was only the third race of his life and he’s very inexperienced as a racehorse.

He showed on Friday he can fiddle his fences and be efficient over them. He missed the second last but when Paul Townend wanted him at the last, he came up. He’s a work in progress but isn’t showing yet on the track what we see at home.'

With that sort of performance he looks like a horse any jockey would want to ride over fences and fingers crossed we can keep him sound and get a full season out of him.'

….22-1 BANC with boost is a bit of a stand-out with Lads.
