  • I think from a UK staying novices viewpoint, those three all look reasonable standard so that was a decent race for the class.
Stay Away Fay seemed to change gears a little when it got competitive and stayed on nicely with a really big jump at the last.
Promising without being outstanding, but like I said, I think the other 2 may prove to be useful over fences.
I think it also helps a horse when his beginners chase is more competitive.

    • I'd be relatively impressed with it. We know he's got an engine from his hurdling + Nicholl's haven't been flying. He'll improve massively for the run. Jumping + attitude are there. Kempton will tell us more, but i'd say he's the no.1 English RSA horse no doubt.

        Not now, unfortunately.

Shorter for the NHC generally, than the BANC.

First run of the season though

He's either very slow or he completely blew up turning in

Guess we will find out next time

          His jumping was sensational

surely wont be going to kempton at Xmas, track won't suit him at all

Agree with this Q, think that’ll be a decent novice chase looking back.

Sure Spectre had said how much the Skeltons like Grey Dawning already.

The one thing I would say to the being slow part is flashy horses don’t come around too often to win RSA’s/BANC’s, they all stay and jump well.

I do agree though he doesn’t look like he would be out of place in the NHC. Kempton may not suit him but will all depend on opposition by then.

Often wrong with this type of thing, but surely not a hope he goes NHC.

When has Nicholl's ever gone that route with his proper 3m horse- market is overreacting for me.

Grey dawning needs softer ground and to go left handed

His jumping was very good, wasn't it

Agree, can't have him at Kempton, either.

Paul said Exeter - Kempton - Cheltenham is the plan.

He also said he would come on a lot for the run.

It was a very sold start with immaculate jumping.

Talk of being slow and NHC bound is premature IMO

                              • Liked that from Found A Fifty, jumped well, ran on well under hands and heels, and not forgetting Colonel Mustard is a 148 rated hurdler.
