Hello Fat Jockeys,

  • Added FDC for the NHC @ 14/1. Race has been name checked off the back of a really solid run and further looks like no problem. Gordon farms the NHC and won that race yesterday with Jury Duty who went off a 4/1 fav for the NHC. Taken 14's and rolling it up with Imagine and GDC for 33's then he's in and done. My commitment to not backing too many NHC horses has gone well and truly up in flames

    • Special performance from Gaelic yesterday. After being against him for every race over the last year except the Punchestown novice Grade 1 where I still didn't back him, I'm now a believer. Giving Inothewayyourthinkin a 130ish benchmark, he's blown him to pieces without coming off the bridle and could easily (and reasonably) be given a 155-160 RPR. Was also a fairly straight jumper except when adjusting himself so I'm actually less worried about his jumping than I have been at any other point - last year I felt he was jumping right at every hurdle, even going right handed. Next race will be more informative about where he goes, but I don't know why you'd want to send him anywhere other than Turners with a performance like that so might have to start loading up on him...

There’s no doubting his talent, he’s very good.
But I do doubt his ability jumping fences round Cheltenham .
At the prices, for me he’s too much of a risk.

        • I feel like everyone has forgotten what Gaelic Warrior done early in the season last year, when demolishing fields like he did yesterday as the majority are massively inferior and the rest don't want to get too close to him.

It was like a repeat of that yesterday.

As for Willie mentioning having a rethink, as if he didn't know he didn't have that level of speed. It was all evident last season in them type of races over hurdles. He's just kidding us all.

I think yesterdays field and his ones last season are far enough apart ability wise COD :/

He was against horses rated 100 at best when he demolished that field in Tramore that day, and then his next run he was against Blue Sari who was an obvious non trier.

Yesterday he was against horses like Cool Survivor who ran 4th in a Nathaniel Lacy and had already had a pipe opener. I do get that it was pretty obvious that Inothewayurthinkin was a non trier, but Cool survivor wasn't exactly held up out the back as they set off yesterday, I just think that Jack expected GW to come back to them with how powerfully he travelled.

I do think though, his next run will be absolutely key in Willie deciding what route he goes this season, ,if he's travelling very strongly within Paul's hands over the 2m4, I can't see why they'd bother taking him another half mile up in trip, especially with how efficient his jumping is.

            • With willie saying they may push MP out in trip and connections having Sharjah, I wonder if GW will end up in the BANC by default?

of course that’s what my wallet wants!

              • They'll see how Gaelic settles in his next 2 races and how the rest of his team gets on before Cheltenham. Willie won't have a clue on his target yet as there's plenty of racing still to go. He passed his first test and now they'll see how he fares against opposition that won't let him build a 20 length advantage early on.

                      Looked a natural

And looked like she'd prefer to go left handed

14s for the mares chase is one il be mulling over

Happy to take on dinoblue and ADV

                      • Just an observation about flooring porter. I don’t just think it’s going right handed that troubles him. I think it’s the lack of a running tail all the way round. I just wonder if that’s the reason he turned up at Cheltenham first time up.

                          • Letsbeclearaboutit’s Cork romp is looking strong form now with Lucid Dreams running Imagine so close today & to a lesser extent Mighty Tom getting such a bad ride from Danny Gilligan at Cheltenham giving JPR One & Co about 20 lengths at the start of the Arkle trial & still running a fair enough race.

Ill most likely be getting stuck into him again for the Drinmore next Sunday.
