He's in Barbados according to Sporting life. Assistant said the Scilly Isles before they consider Cheltenham.

      • I'm choosing to see Grey Dawning as a boost for Stay Away Fay in the BANC.

The Changing Man finished a length in front of Grey Dawning in the SAF race. Now GD has just trounced him by 50 lengths. He has improved no end from that first run and to my mind is the best 3m novice chaser in the UK if not Ireland as well. I'm surprised he isn't a shorter price than SAF in the NRMB market. I think he has run a 160 RPR today and not enough is being made of it. Fine by me as the more people underestimate the horse the longer the value will last for topping up bets.

Harry said he could go any distance and that he's clearly got plenty of speed the way he quickened up today.

I haven't backed him but from that I'd say Turners would be favourite imo.

Closed race for most perhaps? Agree though, he should be second fav on that performance today.

Thought I was going mad ….exactly that !! Second best seen this season ….not sure Willie has better unless switches GW or F2F

Blood Destiny is 5-year old & seems to have lot hype in price

                    • As soon as Willie has a fancied horse fall on debut I can't help but think handicap plot.
He could easily be kept with an OR in the low 140s and be in the Grand Annual

40s available if you fancy that. Same firm is also top price Dinoblue for the Queen Mother so you could bag yourself a 614/1 value non-runner* double.

                        *very likely IMO

Not if he turns out to be his best 2m Novice chaser though surely??

Granted that he might skip Cheltenham altogether and stay in Ireland. He's the only one of Willie's 2 mile Novice Chasers that isn't entered at the DRF which is a little odd. Perhaps he too is better RH.

Depends on where he thinks his best 2M chaser sits vs Marine.

Hunters Yarn has won well today, but the 2nd wasn't pushed out so you could argue his maybe run to a 2 or 3lb better than he should have which keeps him mid 140s

Has Willie ever won a Handicap Chase at the Festival?

He's beaten the 3rd horse by 9 lengths more than Marine Nationale did so perhaps MN should be held back for the Grand Annual as well. Now that would be something!!
