Yep. The betting today supports that.

    • never known a horse to be made of glass more, anyone betting antepost on this lad should write it off as a loss as soon as the bet is placed

Such a shame. Could have been a brilliant chaser but no luck at all with injuries. Don't think many have backed him at all.

I suspect Mullins will revert him to hurdles next season in a bid to keep him sound.

Well that’s something. There was a rumour he might be in a better place.

              • Such a shame that Ferny is out.
Race is struggling again for competitiveness, Jonbon would place in the race imo.
Just got to cross fingers that Edward and Energ turn up in March.

                • Well we know he's fit and healthy. Very good from Energumene.

                  • Edwardstone won't see which way Energumene goes.. the lad is just a relentless galloper.

                    • Energumene has to be the back bone of any multiples made now imo, nice odds boost on them

                      • ….Energumene odd-on in most places after that win. Still 5/4 Hills.

                        • He will have pieces of work more strenuous than that race

For me the best sight in national hunt racing is front running 2 mile chasers like Energumene and the lad in my picture un de sceaux

He’s a very good horse for sure, but I think he has a serious rival in Edwardstone.
Hopefully they both turn up in rude health, could be a real treat for us..

I'm surprised theirs only 3 pound difference in their RPRs. RP really liked his Tingle Creek win.

                              • Energumene is just a beast isn’t he?! I watched the champion chase back and he can clout a fence or 2 but seems to just bulldoze through them/it.

Seemed to leave his hind legs in the last 2 today but didn’t halt his momentum at all.

I have been against Edwardstone the whole time and was still prior to the tingle creek, I do hope he proves a good challenge to energumene as we need a challenger to the champ now.
