That’s taken the gloss off race. Real shame. I’ve gone back and watched concertista’s last 2 runs. I can’t say that she’s blown me. Surely the mares chase winner comes from the race at fairy house this Saturday? She doesn’t appear to be the animal over a fence that she was over a hurdle. We’ve got 2 novice mares this side of the puddle in silver forever and the glancing queen that would brush her aside. IMHO of course.

What sort of result do we think PTKO needs on Saturday (assuming the plan is to run) to go for this rather than the Champion? Wins too well and they'll surely go Champion Chase.

Been thinking about her for this race since Shishkin won so well. Hard to see her ever competing with him in CC but as defending champion seems a bit harsh not to try.

It's a price thing really.
Her form is not that good when you look back.
And she doesn't look to have improved a great deal for fences either, at least, in the little evidence we have seen so far.
Todays race was very poor.
Her only serious rival fell early on.
