    • Paul Nicholls is working a route back for Silver Forever from the Mares Chase at Cheltenham according to his Racing Post post-race comments.
"Journeys to Glory, breathing in his head".

      • Anyone fancy Roseys Hollow for this? I've just added her to my portfolio as she will be running tomorrow. I'm not expecting her to win, but I'm going for a solid round of jumping and at 33/1 for the Mares seems a good time to take a piece of the pie.

        • Just watched the 2pm at Naas back there was tied up in work earlier, thought Roseys Hollow’s run was quietly decent, the jockey wasn’t too hard on her at all especially over the last few furlongs when he knew she wouldn’t win.

A good educational ride, she jumped lovely in the main, bar pecking on the 2nd last will come on plenty for that run I’d say, she did last year anyway which can’t be said of Delvino

          • See minella melody has a couple of chase entries over xmas period, 142 hurdler wouldnt take too much improvement over fences to be a player in this..

I like the horse and her going chasing interests me but she has underperformed in a big way her 2 runs at the course now which has stopped me backing her

              • Is anyone heard any update on when we will see Elimay, Put The Kettle On or Mount Ida again? None seem to have entries over the Christmas period

They will most likely go to a Mares only chase and the next graded one of them is on the 1st January at Fairyhouse over 2 1/2 miles (G3).

Next one after that is the 12th February at Naas over 2m (only a listed one that). Then nothing till after Cheltenham.

So the one on new years day will be the main one for the Mares chase at Cheltenham

She’s by Flemensfirth which in theory should mean she’ll come on for a fence…

                      • I'm of the opinion Concertista only barely gets 2 1/2 miles over hurdles in top company so to see her entered over 2 miles 6 furlongs+ at Limerick on deep ground in a chase is a big surprise to me. She could just about scrape home as it's a weak race but I wouldn't be shocked at all to see her turned over. Don't fancy her for the Mares Chase at the festival but for anyone that does and hasn't backed her yet, you may get a better price this time tomorrow !

I was thinking exactly this when I was goi through the decs earlier, seems a strange bit of placement.

Got to be worth taking on at odds on tomorrow surely?

Sayce gold looks a good bet to me

Won over 3 miles over hurdles and it would be an understatement to say she's been strangely campaigned over 2 miles quite a bit since

If she has a hard race this trip on this ground could bottom Concertista

Yeah, I agree with this, and backed her accordingly for tomorrow.

Will be interesting to see how Concertista gets on over the trip as, like others have said, she's not one that's convinced me over 2m4f let alone 2m6f, the bonus will be she will likely drift if beaten.
