STATTLER
He looks an out-and-out stayer and will be going novice chasing this season. He looks tailor-made for the National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham and if he’s better than that could be a RSA horse but I think the trip is everything for him.

its not as important as if it was willie himself who said it but it still shows what people from the yard think of the horse and what trip he needs. That combined with the horses owner would make it highly likely imo that the four miler is the target.

I remember having a look at his any race price months ago and wasn't impressed as I just dont think he'll be good enough for this race so I just backed for the four miler. Time will tell though.

I’ve a sneaky suspicion Gars De Sceaux will put his name in the hat for the staying novice chases on Saturday as much as Stattler, have had some of the standout 40/1 with B365 for the NHC to go along with my punt for this race.
The Festival Novices Chase is shaping up to be a very strong renewal! Is the NHC still associated with the late great JT McNamara I know it was previously?Last edited by SeanRock; 9 December 2021, 08:16 PM.
