That was taken from his quote on the RP analysis after the last win, and it's exactly those two races that he's now entered up for on the horse's entries page on RP.
The Limerick race may not be a staying distance but it has produced winners and placed horses who were good stayers; Sir Des Champs, Colreevy, Bellshill, maybe Janidil this year.
Be interested to know what the pecking order is between Vanillier and Gabynako at Gavin's.
You'd hope Vanillier is seen as a cut above Gabynako.
BANC should be the target unless he is shown to be outclassed at Xmas and DRF. I do think better ground is key to him though and if he does run in the BANC, there are a few who like to race handy so should be a good rest.

It's early in the season but collateral form with Beacon Edge would say it's closer between the two than their hurdles form, of course it could be different the further they go.
I haven't backed Gabynako for anything but have liked his runs this season and think he's another who could improve over a longer trip, and wonder if Gavin would split them, one in BANC, one in NHC

Gabynako would be the mid-trip horse at this novice stage.
Thanks for that complyordie been waiting for stattler to get an entry - consistent if not quite top class over hurdles like many think could be one for nhc though not missed by market
I have him covered with a couple of free bets for this race, but honestly no idea which race he ends up in now. I think Gordon is more than covered in the NH Chase with both RWF & TBO his two. He doesn't have an awful lot for here or the Marsh though.

I think he’s a 3 miler and will be better than a NH chase horse and, as you mentioned, GE is covered there already. I’ve a feeling he’ll leave his hurdle form behind massively and will be a player for this. Mind you, the other horse I had to improve massively over fences (Mr Incredible) let me down some what.

Stattler may end up Willie's main RSA horse. He's already hinted he could be a RSA horse .Not convinced he's an out and out Stayer.
Be interesting who out of GDC and GDM takes up the entry. Might give us a clue as to where they go moving forward.
I wouldn't say the dec tells us much about the trip going forward, all it tells us is they won't be going 2m. Most horses that end up over 3m start at 2 1/2 and also they can't be too picky atm with the amount of races they have missed at this stage of the season
