ABW also said Jhentong had a potential reason for under par run last time too (mucus i think he said)
He travelled very nicely into the race so hopefully the combination of having a run, clear nose and a step up will see him to good effect. I'm on also fingers crossed!
Ye scoped dirty for mucus. Paul Nolan never has his lot revved up first time. Sandor finished tailed off behind Three Card Boat first time out at Galway I think.
JE’s collateral form doesn’t look half bad now & his PTP form isn’t to be sniffed at either the 2nd was 4th in a good bumper at the Galway festival that’s worked out well, the third filled the same position in behind Jeriko Du Reponet & The Other Mozzie next time out.
I think there's a risk of Flooring going the wrong way tomorrow. That means even if he's beat there could be excuses. Although they tell us he's matured...
Almost a backable price tomorrow to be fair.
More than just a risk you'd think as the trainer hasn't shut up about it all week. He's definitely getting the excuse in early.
Madness to me. Could hop over to bonny England and mop up grade 1s and 2s for fun rather than taking on possibly the only 2 horses better than him in the division in consecutive beginner's chases

Sometimes you learn a lot more in defeat in better races than beating inferior opponents.
But there's enough beginners chases around Christmas time for him to skip a clash with Marine Nationale if they want. Not that it's Henry's style to do so. Be up to Barry if he wants to take on ITP in his first go over fences.

Very true and will set him up nicely for spring. It's not like JP is short of a few bob or graded novice wins.
Figaroc has a similar sort of profile against gaelic warrior today as feu du bresil has who was a close second to mister policeman yesterday.
Both were talking horses a few seasons back but missed a lot of time through injury. They both reappeared around the same time last season and gradually improved from run to run. Feu du bresil seemed to come forward again on chase debut yesterday, interesting to see if figaroc can do the same today. I've had a few pennies on him to win today on the exchange for interest while still hoping Gaelic warrior coasts around.
Decent enough from a jumping perspective, engine!
Does go right still, so wouldnt want to be backing him until I saw he jump on a LH track
Happy to leave him atm
