Looked a very competent performance to me. Heart Wood is race fit and was put away before the second last. Beat him at least as easily as Grangeclare West. A drift before the off about BD too which suggests he'll come on for it.

Fwiw there's no bias towards the horse, I haven't had a penny on her. I'm merely looking at the horses profile. She's already beat the current favourite over hurdles. Lucinda's are rarely ready to win first time up if they have bigger assignments down the road. It shouldn't have been a shock a race fit Grey Dawning beat her. Especially the way Dan's are running second time out.
We don't even need to go back that far for an example. Just look at Ahoy Senors debut over fences after winning the Sefton the previous year. Off the back of that effort you could have come to the conclusion he had no chance. He ended up finishing a good 2nd in the Bancs.

Just a word of warning regarding Blood Destiny, whilst it was a very nice debut from him, he was getting 8lbs off everything today, something he won't be entitled to come the festival.
At least we don't have to worry about Spanish Harlem being one of Willie's potential top novice chasers either.
