  • Willie looks to have a mountain of horses that could go BANC.......

Klassical Dream, Indiana Dream, Nick Rockett, Grangeclare West, Fact to File........ probably a few others I've missed.

How in earth is he going to shuffle that lot. He'll have to run them against each other to find out.

It won't work out that difficult i'm sure.

Rockett could potentially go 4miles, or not even travel at all.

      Grangeclare pretty fragile.

      Indiana Dream could be too...

      nevermind the rest.

Most of them will have to take each other on at some point which will narrow it down drastically

1 is bound to pick up a niggle that rules them out as well

        • Apple Away has improved her jumping somewhat! Gone from a 3/10 to a 9/10. Not sure she's quite a BANC contender, but that was an impressive display.

          • I thought she did well there too, good jumping and a turn of foot at the end, although I'm not sure whether Makin had had enough or just the jockey switched off because had no chance. Glad I hadn't cashed out before today, may well do still as I don't think she'd beat Giovinco based on what we've seen so far. At least cash-out should be better now

            • When asked about Apple Away a few weeks ago, Peter Scudamore was that excited and proud of her he started crying. Watching that I'd say he thinks she's the better of the two .

              • Willie has a hatful of potenentials for all four novice chases. Plans will be fluid currently. One or two will not be good enough or be injured.
Christmas and DRF will clarify things. There is usually one or two surprises as bubbles get burst and nailed on targets aren’t really nailed on at all
one things for sure, after dumb and Dunmer’s performance on UTA last night, you can discard their opinions. Absolute horse manure

                • …..Apple Away a best 20-1 BANC & Mares Chase, although she’s now as low as 12-1 MC.

Again, post-race comments will be of interest.

                    She stays all day

                    Might be a NHC horse

Shed have no chance in a mares chase imo

I've just added her for the Mares Chase as cover for my BANC bet. She certainly is a stayer and jumped for fun today, and for those reasons could see her troubling the current principals if allowed to bowl along in front. Also with her form ties with Grey Dawning, and indirectly Stay Away Fay and Giovinco, the English form is looking to have a bit of substance to it.

                          • Apple Away was one of my few pre season ante post bets for the BANC so have been following her closely. Her jumping first time up wasn't that bad at all. Dived at one if I remember and ballooned a couple. But that was over 2 1/2m where Grey Dawning kicked clear. She kept with Gailliard Du Mesnil for most of the way when the winner left them which was no bad thing. Today her jumping took a little warming to but once it did it was good and efficient. Three runner race with one of the opposition hopelessly out of form so could only beat what was put in front of her. But she wasn't stopping at the finish and couldn't do any more than she did. Expect her to step up to 3m next time with the Hampton at Warwick looking the logical next step whilst Giovinco goes for the Kauto Star.
