Stattler last year ran 2,5 then 3,1 before the NHC.
GDM has ran 2,4 and after today 3. I'd say Stattler was more impressive and in a similar situation where the stable had no stand out in the BANC (GDM and Capodanno). Add in GDC dodging it aswell.
GDM had his chance in the BANC and wasn't classy enough. If he's got any chance at the fez of a win it's the NHC imo.

Might be a bet for the relegated novice handicap at Cheltenham trials day- if fit and well.

I was hoping to see Minella Cocooner and Classic Getaway over Christmas for them to help make Willie's mind up on his 3m chasers but they weren't to be seen and could have had a set back so again raises the likelihood of GDM being BANC bound. I'm now really hoping James Du Berlais impresses if he takes up his entry on New Years Day.

Interesting. What are you preferred races for 3SL and GDM? Turners and BANC?
