I assume Outlaw is talking about the time off the races yesterday, where EDG was 1.6 sec slower than the novice chase, which is around 6 lengths.

Have you done the comparison yourself? or are you using times published on racing post

Two novices pulling 10L+ clear of the corresponding open race which despite going harder early-mid race 8/9L behind EDg by 5 out then approach 3 out with nothing in it and then go quicker to both put more than 10L over EDG. EDG race obvs no great shakes with Edward going early and Nube running below par but was very poor renewal post analysis.

i have 2 lengths from both races starting at the exact same point, quite a big difference we have.

Ext circuit from Second fence jumped, Personally never go from flag fall or start positions as vary/slow approaches to first can misguide overall times. What I have mentioned is accurate if yours's is different so be it but you seem to have some issue with me of late for whatever reason.

I'd have similar to you from the 2nd fence, slightly lower advantage if timing from the 1st fence.

                      • They're all handicappers anyway.
So whose timed it most accurately don't really matter.

And AaronLad ? - You seem a bit grumpy lately, are you alright ?

Yeah I'm fine thanks for asking. And no it doesn't matter but when we had such a difference in opinion i wanted to know more, but clearly i'm unfriendly and have an issue with outlaw, and more importantly I need a new watch

His Novice win vs EDG on 27th day makes fascinating comparison. They've gone a bit quick in EDG race early on but been well beat by the front two in the Wayward.
Do you think Boothill's win in the Wayward Lad was an improvement then ?
Do you think the handicapper will put him up ?
It'd be unlucky on Aucunrisque, if so, as he'd have to get put up more than the winner strictly speaking.
I'd leave him on 148 and put up the second 4lb.
He'll probably go with 2lb and 6lb though.

At least as good as his run behind Jonbon wouldn't begrudge it being 1/2lb higher tbh. Folk will crab because of the rating of the 2nd which is what many will point out(ran to higher than his rating lto as will mention below), Boothill more value than winning distance thou given on the chase in a speed favouring course(lovely patient ride tbh).

Talking of hcappers, The race the Skelton horse Frere D'armes won ahead of Aucunrisque lto with Dadsgino in 3rd(out tomorrow might appreciate further) Straw fan(solid numbers on his runs) and Balco hosed up the other day(upped in trip) looks a very useful novice and he has been leniently raised to 134 bidding for a hatrick whenever he's out next(minor cut lto apparently so might be a while)

Just been looking at that race.
Might be a bet for the relegated novice handicap at Cheltenham trials day- if fit and well.
