  • ….GMG as low as 12-1 BANC, stand-out 25-1 Sky.

He was the novice chaser Rob Acheson was most looking forward to this season.

12/1 is short enough given he’ll need to improve his jumping a fair bit.

True but there have been plenty more natural jumpers on debut though. It would be silly not to aim high with him after using up his novice status so late.

              • Robcour have a couple of good staying chasers now with GMG and Gerri colombe, be interesting to see how they split them(or if they split them)

My memory isn't the best, but I'm sure Rob Acheson mentioned on that podcast that they'd have no problems running their horses against each other in the big races. He also seemed unsure of the NHC for Gerri Colombe and gave GMG in the BANC as his best AP bet, so you'd have to think there's a decent chance they take each other on. Of course a lot can change between now and then and also since that podcast was recorded, so probably sensible to take it all with a pinch of salt.

                  • Mouse Morris said: “He fiddled a few which was good when he got in a bit close, and the faster he was going the better he was jumping. He’ll come on plenty from that.

“Three miles is his trip and he’ll have to go into Graded races now. He might come back here for the (Dublin Racing) Festival.

“You only have to look at him and you can’t help loving him. He’s the kind of horse I really like.”

I think if the ground is ok then they’d run them both in the right race, even if they clash.

He’d be popular winner as everyone loves a grey and Mouse is a character.

Yeah he's a beautiful looking horse, something about greys.

                          • …..interesting that GMG is as low as 10-1 NHC with PP. He’s 20-1 with BV.

14 TWAR with Hills looks decent.

Interesting, I think Boothill has been a solid improver this year and now is sort of stuck between a decent 150 horse but not G1 novice material. His Novice win vs EDG on 27th day makes fascinating comparison. They've gone a bit quick in EDG race early on but been well beat by the front two in the Wayward.
