Absolutely, he's a lovely BANC horse, very happy with that.

          • Gordon name dropped the 4 miler if the ground was soft. Hopefully only pub talk from him, looks a proper RSA horse.

Chanced a related robcour double on the back of those comments - Gerri NHC & Gentlemansgame BANC 509/1

Slightly strange Gordon didn't name drop the BANC as you'd have thought that would be his immediate mention.

              • GC not guaranteed to go to the festival

Soft ground seems to be a requisite

Mentioned by young Acheson in season preview as a possible Irish National horse

Seemed to think Gentlemansgame was their BANC horse

Interesting to see how he gets on at Leopardstown on Wednesday

Elliot not opposed to running him on better ground in the Spring.

Done the same, Singles and doubles. I do know GMG was highly touted as a future chaser, be interesting how he gets on Wednesday.

                    • Gerri Colombe very impressive today. Jumped brilliantly and he's a proper good Stayer. They must be licking their lips re the GC next season provided he gets his ground. Kilcruit jumped poorly but wasn't good enough.

….pre-season, Rob Acheson said he’d favour the Irish National over the NHC for GC.

That was if he didn't prove to be a grade 1 horse though wasn't it?

Handicaps will be firmly off the agenda now

I read it this way as well, but probably the same comments apply to Gerri as GDM now - if he's a G1 horse, why send him to NH Chase. Then again, Gordy sees things differently to Willie on a normal day so it's much more likely in that regard...

Gordon must have a headache trying to slot in his pieces. Very surprising move though.
