Question ?
Does anyone believe there is any value in Antepost betting anymore ?
probably deserves its own thread
Bookmakers cutting horses for absolute no reason
Flagged up by Joe Bloggs on Twitter and wins by 1/2 length and gets cut in Antepost favourite
Really don’t know how even the shrewdest on here can make an Antepost book work

Edit: Kilcruit obviously was near the top of the betting but of course I cannot go without mentioning Constitution Hill who was also mega odds at some stage.

A lot of the short ones have persuasive back-stories, but of course, don’t always deliver.
If your not a book builder, the fun and the art of it, is being successful enough at spotting which shorties are not only poor value, but then taking a view on which one (or two) are likely to deliver the winner instead.
I love perfection, one bet, one big price, one winner.
But I acknowledge that with many races , it’s obvious that you need more than one go, during the season, particularly the novice hurdles.
I never feel happier at the Cheltenham Festival, than when my “1st dart” at a race, actually wins the race
(regardless of whether that’s my biggest financial winner on the race, or it’s not).
Sir Gerhard, Stattler, Flooring Porter, State Man were in the category last March.
Bob Olinger was too, but I didn’t feel so great about the manner of that victory.

Has Allmankind had a setback?
Old Roan Chase on Sunday was touted as a potential starting point for him in the RTV stable tour but no entry today: “I think we will go back for the Old Roan. I’m really happy with him this autumn as he just disappeared after Aintree and I don’t know what happened.
“The wheels properly fell off but he looks back to his bullish self now. He doesn’t owe anyone anything. If the reality was that he had given his lot then so be it but I don’t think he has.
“The plan is to give him a spin at Chepstow before going to Aintree. He is such a cool horse and we are lucky to have him as he puts his heart out there. Hopefully we have got him back to where he was.”
Since then, Skelton's At The Races tour has been released and no mention of AMK at all. Bit strange...
