  • Zanayhir looked to have improved loads from his last run, and maybe the "he's not just a juvenile" comment is making more sense now.
Very slick hurdler most of the time.
    Looks classy.

    • As predicted my many this division has changed so quickly, over the last few weeks Hell Red, Quilixios and Duffle Coat have all been talked about as likely winners at various stages.
And we've still yet to see Paros...

      • I couldn’t get to see the race unfortunately. I’ll watch it back and I’ll have to make a call on him. Having not got on early I’m going to have to make a call as to whether I’m prepared to take the single figures now on offer to de-risk my book, or whether I think what I’ve seen elsewhere is better.

Those that have seen the race, and also Quilixios and Youmdor, how would you currently rank the three of them?
Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.

Its the reason I've (finally this year!) decided to leave the race alone. Three bloodless wins, and absolutely impossible to properly compare them or decide who was more impressive! Until the horses behind come out again anyway.

I lose every year on the Triumph antepost so learning my lesson this year.

I think you took that comment wrong when it was said

He meant he's a horse for after this season as well, bot that he's going to be tried outside of juvenile company this season.

I think he said he's a future stayer on the flat after this season in his post race interview but don't quote me on that as I may be getting confused as I'm hungover

Due to the strength of todays race relative to what the others have faced, it would have to be:

              1. Zanahiyir
              2. Quilixios
              3. Youmdor

I think you'll struggle to not want Zanahiyir on board, he pulled so far clear, and the second was also quite far clear of a previous impressive looking winner (in Druid's Altar)

Not that anyone cares, but Paros and Heross Du Seuil are the only other horses I'm interested in at the moment of ones that haven't had a run.

Personally I've been most impressed by quilixios, altho Z was very good today. I'd probably have those 2 above youmdour but obviously very subjective so far

                • I was determined not to have a bet until the end of Jan but instead of jumping in with both feet immediately after watching Zanahiyir I wanted to see the other two 2mile hurdle times for today and I was most impressed so I have taken the 9s and if something better appears it will have to be something really special which I doubt.

You run your own time too Redbridge or taken off Rp? Circuit around 28-30l quicker than both Bally and the hcap & yet final 2 to line quicker than any in the hcap and only a length down on Bally.

Outlaw I used the RP time but noted 1 hurdle was omitted, does it take longer to run around the omitted hurdle than to jump it?

Yeah the 5th(3rd on the circuit) both the juvenile and novice race did but not the hcap(sun not an issue then) couple yard further but with no air time/stride change nothing in it tbf.

                            • Anyone know much about Dawn Rising?

Been gelded and assume gone to Joseph?

                              Very high flat races horse

                              • The McNeil family (owners of Youmdor) have confirmed Tritonic will be going hurdling this season. Where do we think he will sit in this picture? Is he the right profile for the triumph?
