  • Thought Adagio ran a screamer today considering how badly the UK juveniles have ran this week. I was sat on a 40/1 antepost which I got excited about when they turned for home. Definitely one to keep an eye on.

    • Thought it was a funny old Triumph today.

Usually an end to end gallop but didn’t feel like that today but I haven’t seen times or sectionals.

Adagio might be one for 3m hurdles in time like Zarkandar.

Mullins newcomer went very well and will be interesting in time- if he is put away after that can he come back as a novice hurdler next year for a Supreme/Ballymore?

      • He can’t, he won a hurdle in France last year

        • Not that it will make too much difference now but wonder what Cheveley Park are thinking about the prior conversations they had with Gordon about Quilixios and this race. As we know there was plenty of talk about Q ending up in the Boodles after Elliot had likely convinced CPS that it was best to avoid Zanayir. A really incredible turn around that perfectly encapsulated the whole Gordon Elliot saga and allowed one of our own to win it big.

          • I thought Zanahiyr was going to show up a whole lot better than he did yesterday, was far too keen, then got done on the bend a little when the door was almost closed on him.

Rachael was allowed to dictate the pace (and do it brilliantly she did) which certainly didn't help Zanahiyrs cause

As someone who didn't back Adagio, he had me worried for a long time there, he ran a cracker TBF to him.

I do think on another day (hopefully in the near future) we will see a different Zanahiyr turn up to the one that performed in this race yesterday.

I agree COD, he pulled hard and blew his race early. Think he just had an off day as I think his jumping was a tad scrappy too. Will still be looking forward to him in the future.

              • Most winners of this don’t go on to achieve much more, or at least don’t translate that top juvenile form to top form in open company, but I’ll be surprised if yesterday’s winner fits into that bracket, not sure where they go with him next but think he’ll have a very bright future

                • Looking forward to where they go with Zanaahiyr next season. One i haven't giving up on yet.
