I like the horse but mcCains comments on the ATR stable tour wouldn’t have me thinking of him for Saturday:

”It was great to see him get back on track at Musselburgh and it has been tough for him carrying big weights against seasoned handicappers. He is going to be very good and he has an entry in the Champion Hurdle Trial at Haydock. He is not a Champion Hurdle horse and he is going to want further but it justifies the entry as we are running out of places to go.”

....also Brian Hughes going to Ascot (presumably for Waiting Patiently).

BD literally had his hoof reconstructed & he’s also ageing and not race fit. Ballyandy is ancient. NP is the up and coming horse. Decent form from the Triumph last year. Great run last time & we know he stays further so the ground should be no issue really.

Going to get him in a double with Royal Pagaille for the NH chase
        Fantastic, well done Topofthegame2021

            • Awful from Nico.
Completely underestimated the staying prowess of the front runner.

Well done TOTG, might be unlucky with the the NH chase double though.

Well done, good day for you with the double too (if he runs of course).

Gold Cup could be beckoning. I did the win today and any race double so got the 27/1 if he does go Gold Cup

                    Doubt bvd was fit

                    Certainly didn't look that way

He crept into it nicely and came there travelling but found absolutely nothing when asked

                    • Just waiting to see if anyone over reacts to Buveur D'air there?

First time out, and a horse who has thrown in more than one short priced defeat too, after a long lay off...

20s best I can see, probably not enough.

I've backed worse horses than him at 25/1 though, so that's probably the number I want to 'chance him' for all that it's freaking obvious what the draw backs are...

                      • Great shout TOTG. He's such a tough horse and good to see DMc back among big Saturday winners.

No doubt that'll be the excuse.

But they ran him today (earlier than originally planned) specifically cos he was really well.
In fact Henderson come in his pants after the racecourse gallop the other day, so I would smell bullshit when they do.

                          • To be fair, whether they say it or not, after so long off he was sure to have needed it.

I can't see him winning another Champion Hurdle now anyway whether he improves for it or not.
Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.

                              22/1 with 365

That is right on the cusp of over reacting?
