Who in the likely contenders for her crown aren't outsiders ?
Who would have made her work harder today ?
You dont think theres anything in the CH market better than sceau royal? My intention isnt to bash epatante, she obviously good, but unexposed types open to any amount of improvement like saint roi , saldier and aba, who she hasnt beaten yet, could surely give her more to think about than sceau royal?
Im curious what people thought would be the outcome of todays race beforehand, I thought she would win comfortably, so shes just done exactly as I expected, but I dont know why the jockey trying to show off should leave me extra impressed?
I just dont know how todays performance was an improvement on her ch winning form, could something even like sharjah not have done something similar to sceau royal today?

There are a few better than sceau royal, but she was way better then what we got to see. It was obvious to my eye.
Saldier is the only one that could be anything, the rest look a little exposed now, but could still be talked about as challengers come the day.
But they'd need everything to go well for them and not for her.
She'll be odds on.
I'd struggle to enjoy the sport if a performance like that didn't excite me.
When I say excite .... I mean in a sense of a bet. Sceau Royal is a horse that relies on a sprint finish to win his races. The face he was the pace setter obviously tells you it wasnt a true run race.
The race we have watched today IMO has absolutely no bearing on the champion hurdle. Yes Epetante was super impressive but we all ready knew that.
As for the fishing comment with Goshan ...... let's just say I dont suffer with memory loss

Of course she had more in the tank, thats not what im saying, but if sceau royal ran in last years churdle where do you think he would have finished? I would say he'd have been beaten upwards of 10 lengths, so is epatante beating him today by an unextended 4.5 lengths a big improvement? She might well have improved, but I dont think winning todays poor race in any manner is a definite indicator of that.
