Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

People have **** all else to think about, I'm resisting reading them at the moment until I've watched stuff back myself.

FJ could move a market at the moment if we wanted to I reckon? (or get a horse to be a sea of blue anyway - as I don't think it takes much money at all any more)

Yeah I get it he's got a job to do and all that, but it's highly likely that the prices on those he is putting up would be the same in 5-6 months time. I like to get some free bets on throughout the summer (may not be the case this year) and it's bit annoying his tips are getting cut

Don't worry , a dual Grade 1 winning Reserve Tank got silly short albeit much later in the summer months before his chase debut.

Scenes when the four horses in the March forum Yankee are half the price after we back them then

But 5/1 for Salsaretta for a brand new race is incredibly short. She will almost definitely be bigger than that on the day even if she turned up!

Benie will go there and win is my early call for that one
Benie 16/1 for the mares chase - big price that surely??

Definitely a big price but probably reflects her chances of going back over fences.
I never heard the reason they switched her back over hurdles but she will be a 10yo come March 21 and before people scream Faugheen at me Mares are different, they can lose interest in the game very quickly, the great Quevega lost her first race in 5 years and was immediately retired...

If they said he's going Novice Chasing they'd likely suspend the cashout on the horse. He's too high profile and there is nothing else for the bookies to be concentrating on at the moment.

That'd put me off taking the 16/1 for the CH as the safety net of cashout isn't as safe as it is in other cases.
That’s true Kev, agree that it’s a gamble that you could react quickly and cashout, before the bookmakers push out the price.

Personally, given he is a 6yo I would think that they may go chasing.

Key question is, would the owners, the Donnelly’s, put all of their novice hurdlers over fences in the same season? The Big Getaway is a big horse, and on that alone, looks likely to be chasing in the autumn/winter.

                    • You'd be astonished if any decision was made before he's back in full training so at least 6 months to debate because his price won't change much in that time. Could be another Buveur D'Air scenario.

Objectively speaking I think all three (Shishkin, Asterion and TBG) will be chasing next season. I'm a big TBG fan and he'll be the one I'll be getting involved in at the prices.

Do you see him as an RSA type?

TBG for the RSA is my prediction. Although I did predict the AB for him and got that wrong.... although I still think he should have run there and would have been closer to winning than in the Ballymore.
