Impressive in his first two starts for us, he looked our best Supreme chance, but missed out with a foot issue and his fifth in a Grade 1 at Punchestown is no reflection of his ability. A forward horse, he's a mouthwatering prospect for chasing.

I've always regarded him highly and he was impressive at Kempton and in a Grade 2 at Haydock, so I think he's better than his Supreme eighth. I'm sure he can reach the top and that will be over fences – a very good jumper.

Big and quite headstrong, he enjoyed easy wins at Kempton and Sandown and ran respectably in a Grade 1 at Aintree. His future's over fences and while he looks a big staying type, he's got bags of pace and needs a truly run 2m, although he'd stay 2m4f in time. He's exciting.

After you 'outed' Henderson a while back, this made me chuckle as he's gone to another level

I love her and she's a sexy, strong mare who won her point in style. Time will help but she could go hurdling and I hope she'd reach the highest grade in that sphere.

      • Does seem an odd comment from Hendo re Mister Fisher. It didn't seem to bother him when he won the Rossington.

          • Precious Cargo has been cut as low as 14/1 in places for the Arkle

Makes the 50/1 on Mister Fisher look a bit of a rick to my eyes.

I’ve tried to find the quote about struggling running left handed and preference to flat tracks but can’t find it sorry. I really liked Mister Fisher last season, I won a decent return on him at Kempton on Boxing Day last year.

Impressive when winning a Grade 2 at Ascot but didn't enjoy a smooth run around the time of the equine flu outbreak. He's a lovely prospect for chasing and will start soon, probably over 2m4f.

Personally I won't touch Angels Breath

If Thomas Darby runs at warwick on Friday IMO it's poor placing.
Unless he's testing him on a speed track to help make up his mind over the trip.
In which case, As a JLT backer I'll be glad if he runs as I doubt he's quick enough around a track like that.
Depends on who else turns up though I suppose.
Unfortunately the lack of decent opposition fooled the Kalashnikov connections last season in this same race.

                      • I find Mister Fisher very hard to gauge ability-wise.

Kempton run reads well enough form-wise but he was getting weight.

Haydock run again reads decently, bar the fact the 2nd is probably much more of a stayer.

Not so good twice after that....yet they seem to really like him

Thanks Jackie. One I liked the look of before he ran at Punchestown for this race. At Nicky's Lambourne open day he was very sweet on him Novice chasing. Since then there's been very little positivity regarding him but this is definitely more of what I'd have wanted to hear.

That said Henderson loves to throw the superlatives out at times and if you backed every horse he threw high praise at you'd be struggling. More so his form to this stage doesn't yet warrant a 20/1 price

That’s exactly what Olly’s doing I think... like you I fancy this one for the JLT & had to ask Hills to add to market, not even in it at other places, just priced up for Arkle. Hopefully after this race it will confirm the JLT & we’ll be on at a decent price.

                            • Though chelt looks his ideal track with the stiff finish, Thomas darby isn't slow, I think hes got a bit more pace than people are remembering. He wasnt scrubbed along in the supreme, he was just held up, travelling fine.

Looked slow at ascot and Kempton to me.
Was definitely beaten for speed in the finish.
So he's either not as fast/good as those that beat him or he needs a stronger gallop/test to be able to get the better of those types.
