Only a couple of days until the entries come out for Navan on Sunday. Notably the 2m1 beginners chase which has been the starting point for Footpad, Min, Douvan and Vautour over a fence.
Henderson mentions Rathhill staying over hurdles despite disappointing at the weekend; could it be that Champagne Platinum is their Arkle horse for this year?

God he was awful on Saturday- JP had 4 runners in the race you'd wonder why he was sent over at all! Clearly expected much better...something must be holding him back.
Does anyone know where Draconien is up to? I know there have been mixed reports. I cashed him out after the stable tour but will be kicking myself if he is not as bad as thought?

Stable tour was very positive about Champagne Platinum but that could be said of 50 horses in the list. He and Mister Fisher would interest me a bit now that they go chasing although Mister Fisher could step up to two and a half miles so that brings in the JLT. There does not seem to be a particular 'type' that consistently wins the JLT so maybe Mister Fisher could step up from 2 miles.

Henderson has seemed very keen on Mister Fisher in the stable tours I've seen.
I like Mister Fisher and 50/1 for both the Arkle and JLT seems huge to me. Just no inkling which race he will go for
There was a video on his Unibet blog about Mister Fisher in the novice chase section. He alluded to a step up to two and a half miles as he's grown and strengthened over the summer. Having 2 mile speed in the JLT could be an advantage if they do step up.

Thanks Jackie. Just added him at 50/1 for the JLT. Some of his form is very good and he does look an absolute picture on the video in that blog.

Yeah he's a nice looker. I was on him pre-season for the Supreme but the comments leading up to the festival were that he'd be a different horse with another year's growth.
Didn’t Nicky Henderson state recently that he didn’t think going left handed suited Mister Fisher and he has always performed better at flat galloping tracks? These comments put me off backing him

I've not seen that comment myself but it is interesting to know.

I seem to recall seeing something like this, and his form does tend to back that up. This is the main factor putting me off backing him to be honest as I think his profile does fit the classic Henderson transition from hurdles to fences

he's ran 7 times.
twice at kempton, including debut, and the rest at left handed tracks.
sounds like bollocks to me (from the trainer)
