Was it the price of a pint ?

You are very close. She blamed it on punters banging their pints against the rails..........and I'm serious.

        Perhaps she's a wine drinker.

        Her loss.

Just replied to another thread on the premise he was around 4/1

2/1 is a complete joke! Oh well, at least he’ll hold the market up

Barry Geraghty's opinion, on this week's Off The Fence podcast review of novice chasers, was that GW didn't have as much scope as Klassical Dream or Flooring Porter as he didn't look to have respect for the fences which I found interesting.

And add in the concern going left handed, no thanks. Presumably after Christmas we will see him at Leopardstown, which could give us some confidence on that issue?

That's absolute bollocks. Anyone who's been to Cheltenham knows that you're not allowed to enjoy yourself by taking the lethal plastic/paper cups outside and are forced to down a ?7.50 pint in order to watch the race

11/4 best price is laughable and up there with the worst ante post prices of all time. He's not guaranteed to run in the race and his right hand jumping is a clear negative.

Not sure what others thought of his jumping, but i wasnt totally convinced when i watched it back. He's very low and I want to see what happens when he meets a couple of fences on the wrong stride.

It's possible that's why Mullins didn't take him to Fairyhouse where the fences are stiffer.
I'll always listen to Geraghty, his comments should be noted and it won't have been lost on Willie.
Hold onto them Stayers vouchers fellas...

That’s exactly what I thought at the time FM.

The performance looked spectacular but it was so obvious how low he was. There was one down the back he hit fairly hard, not enough to stop his momentum, but give a stiffer fence he could well have fallen or unseated etc.

I’ll not back him as his prices are a bit of a joke but at the same time he could easily go and win one of the novice chases at the festival.

                              • Not the most fluent, but I'm sure he learned a lot when getting in close, was able to correct himself well. He's a Dom Alco an extra couple of furlongs I'm sure he'd relish. Settled well so it seems fences have helped him in that regard.
