And that’s the 79th time you’ve referred to Facile Vega ending up in the ballymore.
Which is at least 78x too many.

    FYI
the more times you type about it makes no difference whatsoever.
Although it does make me sigh !
So probably worth persisting with I reckon
Don't forget TMSG running in the Mares Hurdle

But Immortal is Henderson's chosen novice for one of his favourite races in the first at sandown on Saturday.

He may even like the race more now that CH won it last season.
Probably worth a punt that he can beat authorised speed on debut getting 5lb's.
@ 50-1 for the supreme is tempting.
Extract below from my Diary on Immortal if it adds any juice - I’ve had a nibble a while back. Unibet price did put me off looking at it too much. Nickys tried to get him out a few times already this season so here’s hoping we do see him.

“Doing abit of digging on this unraced FR recruit. Exported in 2019 to Sluggara Farm. Who are well regarded from a purchasing/breeding/sales POV they have seen many solid horses come out of their system (Espoir De Allen. Envoi Allen, Don Cassak ,Bacardys, Getabird among many others).

He was then sold in June 2021 for 115k to Henrietta Knight.

According to Nicky's ST he came into his yard this spring, I presume after spending some considerable time schooling with H.Knight.

"Stable Tour - A spring arrival, he's a strong youngster and produced some eyecatching work, but the ground was too quick to run so we didn't push him. He's filled out considerably and I anticipate he'll start over hurdles, but he'll be a breathtaking chaser one day”- NH

On a pedigree front he hails from Montmarte, best seen over 11-12f including a Grand Pirx De Paris - & produced Labaik/Elimay.
Dam didn't do much having only 1 run in France but hails from Irish Wells / Sadler's Well bloodline

CH started to get hammered the night before the race and again on the day. Skelton had an ill fated runner that drifted like a barge so despite CH going under the radar there were strong market clues he was decent. Imo there’s no point steaming in yet, just wait to see whether the signs are good. If we exhibit a bit of patience perhaps we can all take advantage if the signs look good.

He wasn't that strong in the market from my recollection, especially in the hour before the race.
To be fair I can't recall the overnight markets at all. So there may be something in it.
I think Might I went off 6/4 favourite though, and there was some drifts, including on CH near the off.
I only think though, I don't know for certain and can't be arsed to check.

Interesting that you are contradicting one post where the poster posts with certainty when you can’t recall? That’s an unusually high level of let’s say contraryness even for you Q

You’re both kinda right… I remember it well as I was ready to wade into Might I but was put off by the absolute hammering CH took when the market opened and up until the night before…. then on the morning of the race he did drift back out as some of the Might I backers were clearly not put off

Yes There was a counter move for MI... Skeltons horse (RIP)just drifted and drifted faced with support from them both...I should have been more precise and said first thing Saturday as he was still strong until the money for MI came ...if I recall Skeltons horse opened around 3 s on Friday ...maybe even shorter. I cant remember CH exact opening show on Friday but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was around 9-2.

Immortal will be shorter I reckon with Authorised the FAV.
Then we'll see what money comes.
I remembered the drift as I looked up CH in the supreme market on the morning of the race and not many had him quoted but paddys were 40-1. But the drift put me off.

                      • Hills have opened up at 1/7 for Facile Vega for tomorrow's race!

                        • Royal Bond looks a cracker, strongest renewal in years. I had Champ Kiely down at a ballymore horse but would they be tempted to stick to 2m if he were to impress on Sunday?

                          • I'd assume Townend will make all on Champ Kiely. Will need to make it a test as some of the ones in behind look speedy. Last year's race was a mess so let's hope we get a proper gallop.

Let's hope he does better than kilcruit did last year in his first race
