They always pick their targets carefully IMO and there is this old culture that should be stamped out.

I'll leave it now cos it's a racing forum and I'm on a hiding to nothing here historically, just find it weird that everyone decided to bring up their issues with so called PC culture in the wake of this case, left a rum taste.
Personally I would applaud Bryony for standing up to this behaviour and hope for it helping to maybe even make racing more competitive when jockeys don't fear being pinned up against the wall if they make a move against an "established" presence

The right decision, you would think. The biggest surprise to me has been the lack of support from Bryony Frost from her fellow jockeys. All us punters who are not part of racing's inner sanctum of jockeys, trainers, owners, journalists etc, have just been introduced to a woman jockey who has had an exceptional career in a very short period of time, and has achieved much success on big TV racing days, thus highlighting her profile considerably. She is also articulate and her enthusiasm post race is bread from heaven to TV producers. Ryan Moore, she ain't. Very rarely we get that infectious enthusiasm immediately post race when she gets a microphone poked at her. I suspect it must be jealously.
There has been some comment over where she positions her horse during the race. Not sure if that's a regular issue and has prompted much of the muted support from her in the weighing room. I sense that it has been. If it has been, most are not talking.

None of us were present when these incidents took place, the court has heard all the evidence and found him guilty of four charges and as a great believer in the great British justice system I'm happy to accept Dunne has done wrong and Bryony was justified in bringing the case.
But that's not linked to my general comment about political correctness.
I'm sure I'm not alone but having played various team sport for the majority of my life the best times ever were celebrating a win in the bar/pub and ripping the piss out of each other, or as it became known more recently, banter.
It's what we Brits do better than anything else and it's been/being cancelled.
Piss taking was always based on a number of personal traits, could be hair, nose, ears, teeth, beards, height, weight, feet, hands, wife/girlfriend, job, house, car, could be a million things, you name it team mates would dig someone out and take the piss out of them for it, and then they'd get it back, it was funny and helped create unity, no-one ever took it personally, no-one ever got upset, it was fun, I'm of the belief that the modern world says everyone should be sensitive to personal comments, object and take formal action, it's not a world I'm overly keen on but that a personal political view and perhaps has no place on a racing forum, even general chat.
So I'll shut up...

Clearly a contentious issue and one that's likely to incite strong opinions and views, so probably best to move on and back to racing...

I was listening to Talksport and they were discussing the incident between Zlatan & Nedum Onouha, when they met in the MLS.
Simon Jordan (normally good value) was commenting.
Zlatan had basically been taunting Nedum all though the game that he was going to "do him" and break his leg and end his career and so on.
Zlatan went to apologise after the game and Nedum refused.
The Talksport guys basically said Nedum was in the wrong and should have accepted his apology, and comments like "it's a mans game" were mentioned.
I disagreed.
The main reason being, had he called him the N word, they would have been apoplectic and falling over themselves to condemn Zlatan.
Which ?, is worse ?
