Anyone interested in Quilxios for next year might be interested that the second from his debut, Yes Indeed, runs at Autueil on Saturday for Macaire. Obviously Quilxios now with Cheveley and is with Gordon I believe. It's 20 for any race with Hills, which would cover the Boodles as well just in case. His debut is worth a view.

Would price contract for Cheltenham market if is his form gets franked this far out ?

Hills have trimmed SIR GERHARD into 25/1 from 33s Bumper, skybet took race down so must be looking.
However Sir Gerhard can still be backed at 33s on the Cheltz special bets

Have never dreamed of a triumph bet this early before, but have backed this one, watched the race live and couldn't believe yes indeed got picked up, miles clear of the third, going to Elliot an obvious positive and can only have triumph as a realistic target especially with the owners wanting grade 1s not Fred winters! 33s seems very fair to me

Interests me too, biding my time getting on some of the potentials but every time I seem to look at the prices again at least one of them has been cut, and we're only in May

Recent history shows its very difficult to find the Triumph winner on February, nevermind May the year before.

I think it you'd have to be balmy to back one for that race now.

Goshen was different because of his flat class but even that wasn’t proven until September.
Plenty of juveniles will be out in France and no doubt the good ones will end up here wearing green or pink....

Ive added Mcfabulous 20/1 EW in the stayers hurdle today..he took a ehile to get going this year but he looked brilliant in his last 2 runs and seemed to travel powerfully he didnt strike me as a stayer but ive backed him on the strength of nicholls comments after the racr at kempton

Very dangerous game without cashout.

I'd take 25/1 with cashout about a horse that hasn't even made it's stable debut yet, over 33/1 without the concession.


Too much would need to go right for the 33/1 to be worthwhile compared to 25/1 with the chance to get out for 95% stake.

I can’t imagine too many are piling into a Triumph horse at 33/1 so slashing the price does seem odd, maybe fear of the unknown.

I’m really surprised bookies weren’t more creative with Cheltenham 2021, with nothing else going on it would have been a great opportunity for the marketing team, all working from home, to have put some real effort into new/novelty markets, turnover would have been good with an army of bored racing punters also at home with little to do.
Can’t help thinking they missed a trick...

Agree with you both Kev and Ista. There really can't be any liquidity in the market, must be £10s and £20s forcing it down as how many are going to get seriously involved with so much unknown, so far out?!

Would have really got engaged with a few novelty markets and see them as good fun for small stakes. I love nothing more than the pints of Guinness drunk each year - there's nothing better than trying to affect the market by the number of pints of Guinness I drink!! Not even that big a fan of Guinness either

That has to be the worst betting strategy ever; lump on the most pints of Guinness to be drunk, then spend more money drinking more Guinness than you ever normally would only to lose the bet anyway haha

Yeah that sounds shocking..this year i drunk lager all day on the thursday on the friday morning i had the worst headache of my life so did a couple of other pals..anyone else get that?
