  • Does the jockey booking of Darragh O’Keeffe on Whatdeawant today instead of the available Townend scream out that they are trying to get a relationship together with the two of them for the Ballymore and that Willie has a better one that Paul will be riding or what?!

Hopefully the number one is Dysart Dynamo for Paul

Fair enough makes more sense then.

How come he didn’t ride him on his debut and a Danny Mullins did? It’s not like he wasn’t available as he was on a horse in the race after that day and not on another in Whatdeawant’s race

Wouldn't surprise me if HG gets withdrawn late.
If it becomes more clear after today that Whatdeawant would have a better chance in the AB , one would like to think the owners would put a festival winner before a Ballymore non winner.

Pretty much not going to happen now though, as they have already said it’s the aim and they are very unlikely to change. This was the same with City Island and Longhouse Poet who were linked to go to other Cheltenham races during the season but ended up in the Ballymore

I want to think that's horrible but would save so many headaches

                  • Grand Jury a big drifter today. Thought he might be worth a shot at bring a genuine two and a half miler. Market seems fairly confident he's not up to this standard mind.

Also would help the Journey case for the AB of course...

Henry’s have been running below par recently so that is probably being priced in too.

                      • I'm hoping this is a massive race today in terms of form moving forward. I want 2 festival winners from it

It’s a competitive renewal. If anything wins by a decent margin then it’s real good form.

Fair point. Few have been running alright enough though. I'll chance the double at 149/1

I mean everyone bar the goose knows he'd be better further but as Willie said, his hands are tied.
