He’s got one out this Friday called city chief, owned by the donnelys, it’s been added to the ballymore market 20/1 bet365 and Bartlett betting at 25/1. Jerry McGrath put him up as one of his horses in the jumpers to follow book.
Looks useful, I'm mindful with Hendersons novices this season though. Seems to have a couple of rockets and then a few donkeys (or atleast from their first run) and soo far I've only backed the donkeys . I'll revisit the stable tour and see what he thinks.
Uses the same term ,"striking" as he did for Constitution Hill which is certainly a positive, but he's only a 4 year old, what's their record in the ballymore?

What do people make of the City Chiefs and his P2P form?
The horse in third (beaten 1.5 lengths) is the only one that has come out under rules since and has come 5th and 4th in bumpers respectively. I know the race was run at a slow gallop but it was a significantly slow time compared to previous years and even then they sped up considerably at the end which would normally close the time gap.
Also looking at the race he’s entered in, the horses that have gone on to win have generally been stayers and most more often than not gone to the AB if they have gone to Cheltenham. That plus the way he won his point makes me think he’s a stayer all day long.
Also another side note is that Nicky and the Donnelley's also had a horse in this race two years ago called ‘It Sure Is’ who was hyped up as much as City Chief. He went off at 4/5 and came 4th. He still hasn’t won since his point. It could be a race they target with there not so best ones and a nice day out for the Donnellys at Ascot
Haha, I hope so! But I am starting to get a bit concerned he comes here. I've covered for the Ballymore too but would much prefer him in the Bartlett.
Iv been worried about this myself, but after doing some analysis (put up earlier in this thread) of HDBs Ballymore and AB horses, I'm very happy with him starting over 2m4f. Its a fairly strong indicator that at this moment he is being aimed at the Albert Bartlett and not the Ballymore.
To sum up the findings, 100% of his Ballymore horses started out over 2miles and 100% of his AB horses started out over at least 2m3f.
Nothing is ever set in stone but it feels like a strong habit and Henry's set way of doing things.
Only two weeks to the Lawlors, on 2nd Jan, that could be too tight for Henry.
A big statement though, if he did take in that race.
It is tight and he'll have to come out of his race really well but plenty of trainers like to run them in two quick races then give them a break. Henderson uses that formula with his best regularly so Henry could do the same.
