I got in touch with B365 about half an hour ago to ask why the Easywork price was still suspended for the RSA after yesterdays run. They've updated it now and pushed him out from 25 to 33/1!

Arkle/Marsh/RSA/NH Chase - Novice Chasers 2021 (new)

I've just watched Gordon Elliott Racing TV lost race interview on EASYWORK from Navan yesterday.
He reported
* He took a big blow postrace and will come on for it.
* He settled very well, much better than last season and they could remove the hood for future races.
* He entered in the Drinmore, the owners like runners in all Grade 1s, but he may find something smaller instead (miss a run vs Envoi Allen) as prep for the Grade 1 3M Novice Chase at Christmas (though he mentioned Limerick which is not where the 3 Miler is at).
* He will definitely improve for a step up in trip, 2M4+.
* When asked about 3M he said "defin-i-tely, it would be right up his alley".
"Journeys to Glory, breathing in his head".

Him and EA were probably their two standout novices, so they may well have felt it didn't matter where Easywork went, as he wouldn't beat either horse. Also the fact Aba is a Gigg horse meant it made even more sense for them to go for the Ballymore as they had Fury Road as their AB horse so three good darts in each and their three best novices split accordingly.
With Aba and Fury Road staying hurdling, its quite possible Easywork is Gigg's best novice chaser and Gordons second best after EA. Felix Desjy is perhaps the only horse you could say is a genuine Arkle horse for them but Im not convinced he's in Easyworks's class.
For me Easywork is Gordons second best novice chaser so I cant see him running his two best against each other... which was also the case with EA and Aba last season.
Was he the second best novice hurdler? (No, that was Aba?)
Abacadabras was AWLAYS going to be just a 2 miler.... I don't think the comparison fits in like-for-like?
Anyway, I see the quotes seine about the possibility of him going up again in trip, which is great, as I've only backed him for the RSA

I don’t see what Gordon has that could have serious claims for the RSA otherwise with fury road staying over hurdles - possibly commander of fleet if back in training but been off a long time and still to reappear.
From Gordon’s comments post race yesterday, sounds like they have the same route taken by delta work in mind for him.
