  • Watching him go through a few gears there is just lovely.

    • Love how when Assemble got level with him it was almost like EA thought what do you think your doing, 3 strides later he’s a length in front.

Yep, he just looks a bully, anyone getting near or in the way he just breezes past...

The change of pace between two out was ridiculous and effortless.

          • The lack of runners etc is frustrating for a Grade 1.

But if you can’t just sit and enjoy that then you’re obviously watching the wrong sport

Like Monkfish yesterday he barely touched a twig! The gears he has is frightening. As HF says within a couple of strides he’s gone.

Just thinking that. It was like he gave Assemble a look of disdain as he swatted him aside!

              • He may not have beaten much, but that was just superb. He looks the best we've seen for some time.

                • He's so good.

6/4 Envoi is better than 6/4 Epatante

                  • Fantastic camera work as well, you could almost literally see the gear change

Agree but this is not something new, haven't got stats to hand but I'd be surprised if average runners in field for novice events outside of Cheltenham/Aintree/Punchestown was more than half a dozen...

                      • Hes just an outstanding animal.
jumps for fun and can just move through the gears.
the perfect horse, i really dont care about the small field just glad to see him. If i was an owner/trainer i'd avoid him too - until cheltenham. Have the one proper crack at him.

Agree. Can't imagine more than 4/5 will take him on.

It was a Grade 1 in name only. The winner is obviously that level but I doubt any of the others will win any form of graded race between them.
