Absolutely bonkers for people to be calling for Envoi Allen for the Champion Hurdle.
The stage of this season has been a reminder how hard it can be for the top novices to make the step up into open company (Klassical Dream, Delta Work) let alone for horses who haven't had a full season in novice company and a summer to come on both physically and mentally.
Yes there are examples of past horses who have done so but it would be a very short sighted approach which has far more chance of having a negative impact in the long term.

If he is the best horse they have ever had (which would be some going) then you'd surely do everything you can do bring him on over the next 2 seasons to be a Gold Cup horse, which is what his long term aim will be. No matter how easy the CH may look, it'll still be a harder race to take in than the Supreme / Ballymore
Agree with Faugheen that Ballymore would be correct choice but the CH might be an easier race than Supreme
I think it's incredibly deceptive to think the CH is potentially weaker then the Supreme. There's a big difference between the 2 divisions. It's far too easy to look at the up and coming novices full of potential and think they can easily step up. And it's way way too early to be deciding how strong the Supreme is. Considering the best 2 miler so far this season aside from Envoi Allen is Abacadabras and he's been well held in 3 runs now.
EA at this stage has nothing to fear in the Supreme
Moved all the posts to Charlie's thread about what he should do with Andy Dufresne

Shishkin update Friday according to Hendo. Can’t wait to see him out. Stable number 1 for this
You live for the hype Charlie, what's he done or beat?
