“It’s going to be horrible ground and it’s going to make everything very tricky,” said Henderson.
“We’ll just have to wait and see how it all pans out tomorrow and we’ll be monitoring the situation closely.
“He’s declared so obviously we want to run him but it is close to the Christmas Hurdle, so it just might not be in his best interests.
“We all want to run, I just want to warn people that we will be assessing the conditions and I cannot guarantee that everything will take part on Saturday.

Sounds like he would rather run at Kempton.
That’s fair enough, just hope if he misses this week that Kempton is ok to race !!
Personally I think he should run him while he can, just in case.
Hes never bothered about running him on heavy before.
You have to say Nicky really is a twat. Just can't make up his mind about anything and scared to death of everything. Just let him run for christ sake !!!
I just don’t get it.
What is the attraction of Kempton compared with this week?
Both grade 1’s and prize difference not that much, and running in either should not affect March.
Maybe someone better than me can help?
Would just suggest it's a tried and tested method for the yard. As a novice he ran on the 8th Jan before going to Cheltenham, last year was Boxing Day. A run around Xmas/New year is the ideal prep race for the horse. Getting a longer break and a harder race on bad ground may not be in the best interests for the horse. However, missing this weekend and then Kempton doesn't happen would probably cause even more issues.
