    I’m with you GV

I don’t think we’ll see a improved Con Hill, it’s more likely he’ll run below what we have seen than see him improve and score a even higher RPR

that run at aintree concerns me, he was below par and it doesn’t take much for these types to miss fire

I’m thinking of backing IEP off the back of that last performance, didn’t think that trip would suit, especially in those conditions, but the price has to be right

I thought it was a big ask to go out on his first run in open company and beat a mid 160 horse in Teapuhoo

I doubt Con Hill will get beaten over here, he’d have to run 20lbs below his best.

I think you have to take him on right, especially before his first run…. I’ll take a look and decide if it’s state man or IEP but once again, the price needs to make sense

and i know a lot of people will say “no chance, question is how far will con hill win”… but hey ho, its work a look

Think it's must bet until declared and wins a beginners chase, although cash out likely to be gone after.
I also did double with Facile Vega.

              • I've always held the theory that Barry is waiting to see what CH looks like this season on debut before fully committing to fences with MN. He'd definitely run in the CH over Arkle if C Hill looked beatable.

I don't think he's waiting on purpose, but he'll be watching.
The longer it goes before he runs the more chance he stays over hurdles, and if CH were to look vulnerable then even more so.
I'm well aware that it may be money down the swanny but the bigger prices on betfair 65-90 and B365 going 33-1 is just too tempting.
I believe in value losers more than God in a ratio it would be 100 vs 0

                  • Marine Nationale wouldn't get near State Man, let alone Constitution Hill. Wouldn't beat IEP either. We will see him over fences this month.

We'll probably never know, apart form him going fences later this month. That's massive odds on.

But I'd have to question how you could be so certain of the State Man IEP comments.
His supreme win was way better on the clock on worse ground and State Man was held up with no excuses.

On that basis, I think we should bin all MN and FV tickets for the Arkle.

Have you seen the markets have settled down on the Fighting fifith.
FF did point out the over round was way out of sync

40-1 Goshen now, and bigger prices the mares also.
even with a rule 4 if the big guy comes out - you've still got 5 runners 2 places and a decent price.

I know I was banging on about Goshen but I just couldn't back against my girl Lovely Envoi if CH came out. Expecting a big run from her whatever happens. Everything is in her favour. Fresh, Course, Ground, Trainer in great form, that ridiculous 7lb allowance, Her back form with my Honey. Everything crossed she's back from her injury fit and firing. Hopefully she'll be 2nd fav for the MH come Saturday tea time.
